We respect your privacy and handle your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 and the ePrivacy Regulations. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

Who we are
Bootcamp Wild Atlantic Way operates the website https://bootcampwildatlanticway.ie and the client portal https://app.bootcampwildatlanticway.ie. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

Data we collect
You give us:
- Identity: full name, date of birth where requested, photo optional.
- Contact: email, phone, address, emergency contact.
- Booking: stay format, chosen dates, dietary needs, travel details.
- Health and lifestyle: medical conditions, injuries, medication, allergies, fitness level and goals. This is special-category health data and we only collect what is necessary to keep you safe.
- Portal content: messages, progress photos, training and nutrition logs, application answers.
- Payment: processed by Stripe; we receive only confirmation, amount, last 4 digits and transaction ID. We never see or store full card details.
Collected automatically:
- Technical: IP address, device, browser, pages viewed, approximate location, timestamps, error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies, see section 8.
From third parties: Stripe payment confirmations, email or messaging delivery status, and referral contacts only with their permission.

Who we share data with
- Service providers acting as processors: hosting, database and email providers, Stripe, messaging and SMS or WhatsApp providers, training platform integrations and analytics.
- Our team and coaches: only what they need to coach you safely.
- Authorities and insurers where legally required or to defend a claim.
We do not sell your data.

International transfers and retention
Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where this happens we rely on EU Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Booking and financial records: 7 years.
- Health and safety forms: duration of stay plus 2 years.
- Portal account: active while you have an account plus 24 months, then anonymised.
- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe.
- Progress photos: until you delete them or close your account.
- Server logs: up to 12 months.

Your GDPR rights
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of your data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Erase data where applicable.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) at https://www.dataprotection.ie.
Exercise any right by emailing bootcampwaw@gmail.com. We respond within one month.
Where we rely on consent for health data, you may withdraw that consent at any time, but doing so may affect our ability to provide the stay or coaching safely.

Cookies, security and children
We use a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary: login, session and checkout. Always on.
- Functional: remember preferences. Consent.
- Analytics: aggregate usage to improve the site. Consent.
We do not use advertising cookies at present. You can manage cookies through the banner and your browser settings.
Where analytics or similar optional technologies are used, they will only operate where the required consent has been obtained.
We use HTTPS, encrypted storage, role-based access, strong authentication and regular backups. No system is 100% secure; report suspected incidents to bootcampwaw@gmail.com.
Our Services are for adults, 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it.
