Seamus Casey, founder of Bootcamp Wild Atlantic Way

Founder story

Built by someone who has lived the change, not just coached it.

About Seamus

Seamus built this retreat from personal experience, not theory.

In late 2019, Seamus Casey hit a serious turning point. He was living with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnoea and a weight of around 165kg, or about 26 stone. After attending a residential bootcamp himself, he lost 13.5kg, just over 2 stone, in his first three weeks, rebuilt his confidence and kept going.

Over time he lost around 65kg, just over 10 stone, moved from walking a single lap of a football pitch to running a full marathon, and created Bootcamp Wild Atlantic Way to give other people the same kind of turning point, support and belief in what is possible.

Seamus on film

This is the journey behind the retreat, and the reason Seamus wants to help more people change their lives.

Seamus knows what it feels like to live in a body and a mindset that no longer feel like your own. Bootcamp Wild Atlantic Way was built from that turning point: to help people rebuild belief in themselves, enjoy living healthier and create real results that can be felt both outwardly and inwardly.

His journey was never only about losing weight. It was about reclaiming energy, self-respect and belief in what life could feel like again.
That lived experience shapes the retreat: honest coaching, real empathy and support that helps people change how they think as well as how they look.
The aim is deeper than short-term results. It is to help more people build a healthier body, a clearer mind and lasting confidence inside and out.
